America has issued a warning regarding uproar in Pakistan.

Actually, general elections are going to be held in Pakistan on 8th February. Pakistan has a history of election violence. This time too there is full possibility of violence.

In view of this, America has issued a travel advisory for American citizens traveling to Pakistan.

It asked them to exercise caution ahead of the February 8 general elections and warned of possible election-related violence.

The US Embassy in Pakistan issued an advisory on Friday asking its citizens to remain vigilant and avoid visiting places where political rallies are being held.

The advisory said that on election day, February 8, there could be overcrowding in areas around polling stations and American citizens should avoid going there.

The embassy noted that political parties in Pakistan are actively campaigning, such as holding marches and rallies.

It said such events could block traffic, disrupt transportation and interfere with free movement and security.

The advisory also said that there have been some examples of political activities being targeted for violence in Pakistan.

This week, there were several pre-election attacks on political parties in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The advisory said that internet and mobile services may also be disrupted before and on the day of voting.
