Rain started in Haldwani from late Tuesday night, which brought relief from humidity and made the weather pleasant. At the same time, a car narrowly escaped being hit by debris falling from the hill in Kameda on the Badrinath Highway.
According to the Meteorological Department, most areas of the state will remain cloudy on Wednesday as well. An orange alert has been issued in Bageshwar as there may be heavy rain along with lightning. There may be heavy rain with thunder in Dehradun, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Champawat as well. Heavy rain occurred in many areas of Doon on Tuesday. After some time the sky cleared and the sun came out. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be one or two rounds of heavy rain in Doon on Wednesday as well. There are chances of thundershowers in the surrounding areas.
