A meeting was held between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress regarding seat sharing in five states for the Lok Sabha elections. This meeting remained inconclusive.
But leaders of both the parties said that the discussion was very good.
Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha, after attending the meeting at the residence of Congress functionary Mukul Wasnik, said, “Discussions on the alliance are going very well, but comments cannot be made on every point of the alliance talks. Is.”
Both Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are constituents of the opposition India Alliance. AAP’s Delhi state convenor Gopal Rai had earlier said that both the parties are discussing seat sharing in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and Goa.
However, sources said that there will be no seat sharing between Congress and AAP in Punjab and both the parties have agreed on this. Congress leaders have said that talks between the two parties are on track.
Congress leader Salman Khurshid said, “We have discussed everything. We have great chemistry and have shared with each other openly.
We shared everything that we believed would strengthen our bond.” He said that it was a wonderful meeting and we went far beyond our expectations.
This was the second round of discussions between the leaders of both the parties on seat sharing. On behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party, Raghav Chadha was joined by ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj, AAP’s organizational secretary and Rajya Sabha member Sandeep Pathak.
Earlier, the same leaders had attended the first meeting also. Apart from Salman Khurshid and Mukul Wasnik, Delhi State President Arvinder Singh Lovely and other senior Congress leaders attended the meeting.
