These Muslim castes should also get the status of Scheduled Caste, Pasmanda organizations made a big demand…

After the Supreme Court’s decision on sub-division in Scheduled Castes, there is a debate going on about it across the country.

Meanwhile, Pasmanda Muslims have also put forward their demand for inclusion in the Scheduled Caste. All India Pasmanda Muslim Mehaj (AIPMM) and other Muslim organizations have demanded that at least 12 castes be included in the Scheduled Caste (SC).

Muslim organizations have also met the Justice (Retired) KG Balakrishnan Committee, which was formed to prepare a report on the inclusion of castes of different religions in the Scheduled Castes on the basis of economic, social and educational level.

Former MP Ali Anwar says that at least 12 castes should be included in the Scheduled Castes. He said, their condition is worse than that of Hindu Scheduled Castes. They are considered untouchable by the people of their own community.

According to the Indian Express report, Anwar said, there are at least 20 castes among Muslims whose economic condition is worse than that of Hindu Dalits. This fact has also come to light in the Bihar caste survey. These castes constitute 6.62% of the total Muslims.

Their population in Bihar is 1.16 percent. Let us tell you that BJP is also trying to get Pasmanda Muslim votes in its favour. BJP has entrusted the task of adding 50 lakh Muslims to the party to the Minority Front.

At the same time, AIPMM demands that a new list of Scheduled Castes be made impartially and Dalit Muslims and Christians should also be included in it. Let us tell you that the word Pasmanda is used for tribals and backward Muslims.

Ali Anwar said, despite being in very large numbers, Pasmanda Muslims are not getting representation in jobs, legislatures and minority communities. Muslims and Christians of Dalit origin have been demanding the removal of religious restrictions for a long time.

Let us tell you that in 2022, the Central Government had constituted a commission under the chairmanship of retired Justice KG Balakrishnan. Its objective was to consider the possibility of including new castes in the Scheduled Castes.

Under this, importance is to be given to those castes which had once converted from Hindu, Buddhist or Sikh religion to Christianity or Islam.
