They fired us and gave jobs to Indians, serious allegations against TCS in America…

Indian giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has faced serious allegations of discrimination in America.

More than 20 TCS employees have alleged that the company is illegally discriminating on the basis of race and age.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) gave this information in its report. In all, 22 American professionals have accused TCS of firing them and hiring Indians on H-1B visas.

The individuals evacuated by TCS include people of Caucasian, Asian-American and Hispanic American ethnicity, all between the ages of 40 and 60.

These people come from different states of America. Based on complaints, many of the individuals fired by TCS have Master of Business Administration or other advanced degrees.

These people have accused the Indian company, a giant in the IT field, of violating laws by discriminating against them.

These people say that the company is ‘favouring Indians’. After the allegations, investigation has started regarding the use of H-1B visa by Indian IT companies. This visa category is for skilled foreign workers.

Additionally, American workers have expressed apprehension about hiring foreign workers with low qualifications and ‘low wages’.

TCS, with more than 600,000 employees, is primarily based in India. Although about half of its revenue comes from North America, it has comparatively few employees in the US.

TCS has denied the allegations of discrimination in a statement. TCS said, “Allegations of unlawful discrimination by TCS are baseless and misleading. TCS has a strong track record of being an equal opportunity company in the United States.”
