China is already irritated after the Quad conference held in America.
Top leaders of the US, Japan and Australia, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, attended the meeting where they considered China’s growing aggression in the South China Sea and Asia as a major threat.
After this, the local media of China had said that the Quad group is a group formed to compete with China.
Meanwhile, America is now preparing to take another step that can further worsen its relations with China. The US Commerce Department will impose a major ban in view of the security threat from China.
According to a Reuters report, sources familiar with the matter said the department will propose a ban on the import and sale of vehicles from China that use Chinese-made software or hardware in autonomous driving systems.
The Biden administration has expressed concerns about Chinese companies’ ability to collect sensitive data on American drivers and infrastructure, as well as the risk of manipulation of internet-connected vehicles.

The new restrictions are part of the US government’s efforts to limit the influence of Chinese technology in the US market, with Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo saying in May that connected US vehicles pose a number of risks from Chinese software or hardware.
The Commerce Department will seek public comment for 30 days before finalizing the rules. The proposed restrictions would apply to vehicles with certain Bluetooth, satellite and wireless features, as well as autonomous vehicles capable of operating without a human driver.
Car manufacturers are not in favour of the ban
The move is expected to face opposition from the automotive industry. A trade group representing major automakers, including General Motors, Toyota Motor, Volkswagen, Hyundai and others, reportedly warned that replacing hardware and software would take time and is costly.
Car makers said their systems go through pre-production engineering and testing processes.
