Manila. The Philippines has reported three cases of monkeypox, bringing the total to eight in the country, Manila’s Department of Health (DOH) said on Sunday. The three new cases include a man in Metro Manila and a man in South Manila, the Philippine health secretary said.
The DOH spokesperson said that 17 cases have been reported in the Philippines since July 2022. Nine cases have recovered so far since 2023. Eight are active who are waiting for their symptoms to resolve. The DOH will continue to trace those who have had contact with the active patients, he said.
