New York’s famous Times Square witnessed a unique and memorable evening on Monday.
Here the video of Mahashivratri was telecast on the big screen of Times Square with chants of “Shiva” and “Shambho”.
As soon as the video of Mahashivratri with Sadhguru’s glimpse played on the screen, New Yorkers started dancing to the tune of “Har Har Mahadev”.

Many visitors shared their experiences after enjoying the Mahashivratri celebrations in New York. One woman, Margaret, said, “When Sadhguru’s image appeared on the screens in Time Square, tears streamed down my face seeing the love and excitement in the air.” “It was a night of celebration, connection and reminiscing and words cannot describe this spiritual experience,” he said.
More than 140 million people witnessed this grand video event at Times Square. The Mahashivratri video event with Sadhguru has gained a place among the most awaited annual events in the world.
This year too, the night-long celebrations on Mahashivratri will feature festive music and mesmerizing dance performances directed by Sadhguru.
The grand event will be telecast on Sadhguru’s YouTube channels in 22 languages across the world from March 8 at 6 pm to March 9 at 6 am.
Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar will grace the event by attending the event. Whereas, captivating performances of other famous artists like Shankar Mahadevan, Gurdas Maan will be seen on the stage.
