Bangalore. A woman in Bengaluru reported that she has been receiving serious threats of sexual violence from a man after a reckless auto-rickshaw incident almost hit her vehicle and two others. The woman took to social media to share her tragic experience, stating that the man not only verbally abused her and her mother by calling them “prostitutes” but also made lewd comments about engaging in sexual activities with them. Moreover, the man, who appeared to be in his twenties, made inappropriate gestures that suggested he would perform sexual acts with the women.
The woman, known online as “Satanshots”, described an incident that occurred while she was driving on Kathriguppe Road, where an auto-rickshaw suddenly entered the lane, nearly causing an accident. After blowing the horn to alert the driver, she noticed that the auto driver remained silent, possibly aware of his reckless behavior. However, a young man from the auto approached her at a red light, and used abusive language against her and her family, described sexual acts and displayed his intentions in a lewd manner.
The situation worsened when the man allegedly attempted to break her car window and open the door, while several passersby witnessed the confrontation. He reportedly felt that she did not understand the language, which led him to intensify his abusive language until the traffic light changed. He also threatened to rape her and kill her and her family if she revealed the recorded video of his misbehavior to anyone. In response to her protest on social media, the Bengaluru police have arrested the auto-rickshaw driver for dangerous driving.
