Washington: Donald Trump has been appointing new people to his cabinet since becoming President. Meanwhile, he has now named Jamison Greer as his business ambassador. Jamison Greer has played an important role in carrying forward the economic agenda of the US President.
Describing him, Trump said, Jamison has played an important role in imposing tariffs on China and others to end misrule during my first term. Trump also cited Greer’s experience in helping push a trade agreement between the United States, Mexico and Canada. Greer most recently joined the law firm King & Spalding.
During Trump’s first term from 2017 to 2021, the United States imposed tariffs on billions of dollars of imports – particularly from China as well as America’s allies.
The Trump administration imposed tariffs on nearly $300 billion of Chinese goods as Washington and Beijing engaged in an escalating tariff war. Let us tell you that Lighthizer emerged as America’s powerful figure in trade talks at that time, because he pressed for changes in Beijing’s economic policies.
Earlier, news had come that America’s newly elected President Donald Trump has shown the way out to the LGBTQIA+ community in America. He is reportedly planning an executive order that would remove all transgender members from the US military. According to the report, transgenders will be medically discharged, which means they will be “unfit” to serve.
The 78-year-old leader had imposed a similar order during his first term as US President. He had barred transgender people from joining the armed forces, but allowed those who were already doing their jobs. Now according to the report, this time all those transgenders who are currently in service will also be removed.
