Turkey has targeted two neighboring Islamic countries in response to the horrific terrorist attack on Wednesday in the capital Ankara.
Turkey has carried out massive air strikes in neighboring countries Syria and Iraq, in which two terrorists are said to have been killed.
In a statement issued by the Turkish Defense Ministry, it was said that a total of 30 terrorist hideouts have been destroyed in the air strikes.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has confirmed the attack on the aerospace company TUSAS and said that 5 people have died in it, while more than a dozen people are injured.
While giving information about the attack, he had said that its culprits will not be spared. Shortly after this, Turkey started attacks on Syria and Iraq. No organization has yet claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Turkey, but it suspected that it was carried out by Kurdish terrorists active in Iraq and Syria.
In such a situation, Turkey started air strikes to deal with them. The attack on the aerospace company is also important because foreign leaders and officials often visit there.
Top diplomats of Ukraine had reached here only last week. This company has a great reputation in the Turkish Defense Department. Turkey’s first war aircraft KAAN was prepared by him.
Apart from this, this company is also doing many important projects, in which more than 10 thousand people work.
It is not yet clear who could be behind this attack in Turkey, but the suspicion is on Kurdish terrorists. Kurdish militants, the Islamic State group and leftist extremists have carried out attacks in the country in the past.
Security camera images of the attack were broadcast on television. In this, a man dressed in plain clothes is seen carrying a bag and holding an assault rifle.
Turkish media said three attackers, including a woman, arrived at the entrance of the compound in a taxi. The attackers had weapons to attack.
They detonated an explosive device near the taxi, causing chaos and they entered the premises.
The DHA news agency and other media reported that multiple gunshots were heard after Turkish security forces arrived at the scene. Helicopters were seen flying over the complex.
