Two innocent children strangled to death in Bengaluru, strict police inquiry on parents

Bengaluru. A shocking incident came to light in Karnataka’s most developed city Bengaluru on Friday. Here two children were allegedly strangled to death by one of their parents. Police gave this information. Police said that one child is seven years old and the other is three years old. The case has been reported in Subramanyapura police station area.

The couple are originally from Jharkhand. Police are investigating the father and mother, hailing from Jharkhand, the couple are accusing each other of murdering the children. The children were identified as seven-year-old Shubam and three-year-old Siya. His mother has been admitted to the hospital with a neck injury. Meanwhile, the father is an auto driver who has been taken into custody by the police and is being interrogated.

There is a marital dispute going on between the couple
DCP South Division, Lokesh Jaglasar said that information about the murder of two children was received on Thursday. The investigation so far in the initial phase has revealed that the children have been strangulated to death with a rope. Now, conflicting claims are being made by both parents as to who murdered the children. A case of murder has been registered and investigation is being done from all angles. Presently, the mother is undergoing treatment for the cut injury on her neck. It is to be verified whether the injury is self-inflicted or caused by some other person. The investigation revealed that the immediate cause of the murder was marital disputes between the couple.

Only the wife was there at the time of the incident; the husband came home later.
According to the DCP, after the incident which took place between 7 pm and 9.30 pm on Thursday, the father had complained about the matter, who took both the children and the mother to the hospital. He reached the hospital at 10.30 pm. The CCTV footage available so far shows that the man came to know about the incident after he reached home, the DCP said, claiming that there was marital dispute, frustration and depression that led to the incident and his wife committed the crime.

On the other hand, the woman claims that she has no role in the murders and has accused her husband of committing the murders. However, based on the technical evidence that the police have collected from the crime scene, there is a need to verify who was at the spot.

The couple had come to Bengaluru from Jharkhand only two months ago.
He said that as per the evidence available so far, the mother was at the spot and the father came later. Still, we need to verify it from some more angles. The woman is a housewife. We are questioning both the parents. However, the woman is still undergoing treatment and the investigation has not progressed yet. He is not serious and doctors have said that there is no threat to life. Police said that he had come to Bengaluru from Jharkhand only two months ago.
