Two nuclear submarines are going to be built in India – NNSP

New Delhi. The Cabinet Committee on Security, the head of the Government of India, headed by the Prime Minister, has given permission to build two indigenous nuclear submarines. This will increase the strategic and offensive capability of the Indian Navy. With the construction of these submarines, the Navy’s strength will increase in the Indian Ocean region and the South China Sea. These submarines will be built at the Ship Building Center in Visakhapatnam. Help of private companies like Larsen and Toubro can also be taken in making this. Submarines will be up to 95 percent indigenous. These submarines will be different from the Arihant class. These will be built under Project Advanced Technology Vessel. Right now two submarines will be built, after this four more can be built. Whereas India has recently commissioned its second nuclear submarine INS Arighat. Within the next year, the Indian Navy is going to get many different types of warships and submarines. These 12 warships also include frigates, corvettes, destroyers, submarines and survey vessels. With their inclusion in the Navy, the level of security in the Indian Ocean Region will increase.
