Srinagar. Indian security forces have achieved a major success in the ongoing operation against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. So far, two terrorists have been killed in the operation being conducted against terrorists in Kupwara and Bandipora of North Kashmir. The operation has been going on since Tuesday and involves personnel of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF. Regarding the operation, the Army spokesperson said that during this ongoing operation in OP Kaitsan area of Bandipora, a terrorist was killed. The Army’s Chinar Corps took to Twitter to confirm that a terrorist has been killed in an operation conducted by security forces at OP Kaitsan in Bandipora. The operation is still going on.
Operation started on Tuesday
The operation was launched in Chuntwadi Kaitsan area on Tuesday, when security forces received information about the presence of terrorists. After this a cordon and search operation was started. When the terrorists found themselves surrounded, they started firing on the security forces, following which one terrorist was killed in retaliation. In this encounter, one Army jawan and one CRPF jawan were injured, whose treatment is going on.
