Kiev. The Ukrainian military has claimed to have shot down a Russian fighter plane near the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk province. This plane fell on a house, after which it caught fire. According to local military administration chief Serhiy Horbunov, pictures of the burnt plane have emerged.
At the same time, Russia’s Defense Ministry has claimed that it has captured Zelenye Druhye village located in the eastern part of Ukraine. The village is located in Donetsk province, which is already partially under Russian control. Russia has made this claim when three days ago the Ukrainian Army informed about retreating from the city of Vuhladar. The town of Wuhldar is located about 33 kilometers from Geleen Druh.
However, Ukrainian officials have not yet confirmed this claim of Russia. Experts believe that Vuhladar’s defeat could be a significant blow to Kiev, but it is unlikely to cause any major change in the broader situation of the war. Ukraine claimed to have shot down a Russian plane on Saturday, while Russia has captured a Ukrainian village.
