The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine has now taken a new turn.
In a video posted on social media by Ukrainian President Zelensky on Monday, the head of the Ukrainian army said that our troops have captured about 1,000 square kilometers of Russian territory.
Our offensive operation is still going on. The army chief said that we will continue our operation in the Kursk region with intensity. So far this much of Russia is under our control and we will keep our hold on it strong.
In fact, Ukraine, which was defending its territory before Russia’s attack, has now started making surprising attacks. This is the first time in this war that the Ukrainian army has penetrated so deep into Russian territory.
Due to the continuous attacks by Ukraine, Russia has started evacuating people from its other border areas. According to Russian state media, the government has evacuated about 11,000 people from Belgorod, an area near Kursk.
Earlier, Russia has evacuated about 76 thousand people from the Kursk region and taken them to safe places. According to the media, the Ukrainian army has entered 30 km inside the Belgorod area.
Putin said – there will be no peace talks now
Angered by this attack by Ukraine, Putin said in his message to the nation that it is true that the enemies have penetrated deep inside.
Now our first task is to drive them out of our area. We will soon drive them out of our area.
Western countries are fighting this war through Ukraine. I assure you that there will be no peace talks now and we will give a befitting reply to this attack on Ukraine.
