Dhaka. A United Nations team will soon visit Bangladesh to investigate the killing of protesters before and after Sheikh Hasina’s resignation last week. This information was given by Bangladesh’s interim government’s chief advisor Mohammad Yunus on ‘X’. He wrote in the post that UN human rights chief Volker Turk spoke to Bangladesh’s chief advisor Professor Yunus over the phone. Volker told Yunus, “A UN team will visit the country to investigate (the killings).” Last week, chaos spread in Bangladesh after Prime Minister Hasina resigned and went to India, after which the army took power on August 5. Earlier, more than 500 people were killed in anti-government protests.
