Union minister, former chief minister, scion of the royal family; Many big names in BJP’s second list…

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday released its second list for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

BJP has fielded 72 veterans in the second list in the 2024 elections. The names of many politicians including Nitin Gadkari, Manohar Lal Khattar, Piyush Goyal, Anurag Thakur are in this list.

At the same time, names of some veterans have been deleted. The biggest name in this is that of Pratap Simha, on whose visitor pass there was a lapse in Parliament security.

There are 13 such names in the new list, which include Union Ministers, former Chief Ministers and descendants of the royal family. Let’s take a look at these names.

On March 13, BJP announced the names of candidates for 72 seats from 10 states. In which maximum names of 20-20 candidates are included from Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Earlier on March 2, the ruling party BJP had announced 195 candidates. In which the names of PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh are included.

However, two included in the first list later withdrew their nominations and it is yet to be announced who will contest in their place.

Like the first list, the second list also includes several high-profile names, including Union ministers and former chief ministers and scions of the royal family. Let’s take a look at their names:

It is noteworthy that the general elections are likely to be held in April-May and the Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to issue the model code of conduct in the coming days. BJP is trying to gain power at the Center for the third consecutive time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is aiming for a hat-trick of victories.
