There was a ruckus between two groups over the photo of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in the fair organized in village Pahuwind Sahib on the birth anniversary of Baba Deep Singh in Tarn Taran, Punjab.
As soon as its video went viral on social media, Sikh organizations gathered and started creating ruckus.
The organizations alleged that the youth who had come to service the shoes had put up Bhindranwale’s photo. But the Gurdwara Management Committee got the photo removed, due to which the atmosphere became tense.
The mob attacked the car of Colonel Harisimran Singh, associated with the Gurdwara Management Committee. The angry mob also attacked SHO Parvinder Singh.
The car in which Colonel Harsimran Singh was traveling was vandalized. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Sikh organizations angry after video went viral
The manager of the Gurudwara Management Committee said that he had asked the youth not to put Bhindranwale’s photo on the shoe rack and not to put up tents on the road without the permission of the committee, but the youth distorted the video and made it viral.
Due to this, the Sikh Sangat got angry at the management committee of Gurdwara Sahib. He appealed to the devotees to apologize if they have been hurt by this video.
In this matter, Tarn Taran Shiromani Akali Dal President Harpal Singh Baler and Honor Committee leader Bhai Ranjit Singh have demanded action.
Police forces deployed in large numbers
Bhikhiwind DSP Preetinder Singh said that considering the sensitivity of this matter, he will call both the parties tomorrow and will also clear all the misunderstandings.
Along with this, he has appealed to all Sikh organizations to remain calm. A large number of police forces have been deployed on the spot.
