The price of such trains manufactured in other countries is around Rs 160-180 crore, whereas the Vande Bharat train here comes for Rs 120-130 crore.
The speed of Vande Bharat Express train also makes it very attractive. Sources said that Vande Bharat takes just 52 seconds to reach 0 to 100 kmph.
This figure is even better than Japan’s bullet train, which takes 54 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 kmph.

Work towards increasing Vande Bharat trains
On the other hand, Indian Railways is rapidly expanding its track network. Also, work is underway to increase the adequate number of Vande Bharat trains.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that more than 31,000 kilometers of tracks have been added in the last 10 years. Our target is to add 40,000 kilometers of additional track.
