Indian-origin Vivek Ramaswami has withdrawn from the race to become the President of America.
He will not contest the US presidential elections to be held later this year. 38-year-old Ramaswamy took this decision after his poor performance in the Republican caucuses of Iowa.
Former President Donald Trump has won in this voting. Biotech entrepreneur Ramaswamy announced that he was quitting the election campaign.
On this occasion he said, ‘There is no way for me to become President, so I am ending my campaign.
I called Donald Trump to tell him that I congratulate him on his victory. He has also announced his support for Trump.
Earlier, Trump had publicly criticized Ramaswamy. He alleged that Indian-American entrepreneurs were adopting fraudulent tactics to gain nomination.
This comment of former President Trump came after Ramaswamy’s statement and a viral post. Trump and his team were said to be very angry with Ramaswami’s words.
Trump was angry with the slogans written on the T-shirts worn by people during Ramaswamy’s election campaign. It was written on the T-shirt, ‘Save Trump, Vote Vivek’.
Ramaswami had posted a picture with the youth after his program in Rock Rapids, Iowa on Saturday, which further increased the anger of the former President.
Ramaswamy was seen giving competition to Trump
Political experts believed that Ramaswamy could give a tough competition to Trump to get the nomination of the Republican Party. But now things have changed rapidly.
According to the report, Ramaswamy will now also hold a rally with Trump in New Hampshire, America.
It is known that Ramaswamy had announced his participation in the presidential race from the Republican Party in February last year. Till that time, very few people knew him in the political circles.
But, he strongly raised issues like immigration and America-first. This helped him a lot in establishing his identity among Republican voters.
