Waterlogging due to rain in Mumbai, weather changed in Delhi-UP too; rain expected for next few days

The weather has changed once again in many states including Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh. Delhiites who have been troubled by humidity and heat for the last few days are likely to get relief in the next few days.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, due to the low pressure system formed over the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected in the northwest Bay off the coasts of Andhra and South Odisha. At the same time, the IMD informed that Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, West Bengal are likely to receive rain today (September 26).

Rain alert in many states today

If we talk about North India, light to moderate rain has been predicted in many areas of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan from 26 to 28 September.

Rain has made life miserable for Mumbaikars

Let us tell you that the heavy rain that started suddenly on Wednesday evening in Mumbai increased the trouble of the people. Due to this, there was waterlogging and traffic jam at many places. People returning home from their offices faced problems due to the rain that started in the evening. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts today.

Due to heavy rains, all schools and colleges in Mumbai will remain closed on Thursday. At least 14 flights coming to Mumbai had to be diverted.

Heavy rain is also happening in the hilly states

On the other hand, heavy rains have been falling in the hilly areas since Wednesday. Many districts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh received heavy rains on Wednesday. In Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, 50-60 meters of the Thal-Satshilling highway got submerged in the Ramganga river near the Nagimal temple.
