Gaza. Amidst Israeli claims, Hamas announced that it is fully prepared to fight a long war against Israel in the Gaza Strip. In media reports, Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Palestinian group’s military wing Al-Qassam Brigades, released a video saying that we will continue a long and painful war against Israel. Ubaida said this on Monday on the occasion of the anniversary of the October 7 Israeli attack. Let us tell you that on October 7 last year, Hamas attacked Israel in which about 1200 people were killed and more than 250 were taken hostage by Hamas. It is believed that more than 100 hostages are still in the custody of Hamas.
According to the report, Ubaida claimed that in this battle on all fronts and throughout Gaza, we have killed hundreds of Israeli soldiers, destroyed Israeli vehicles and refined our tactics. He said that this struggle is against the criminal enemy i.e. Israel. Regarding the hostages, Ubaida said that from the first day we have ensured the security of our prisoners, but Netanyahu’s ambitions have prevented them from returning for a year. Ubaida warned that the fate of the hostages now depends on the decisions of the Israeli government. If the Israeli army advances, their situation may worsen.
Gaza-based health officials said the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks has reached 41,909. Israel’s military operation still continues in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his government would complete the task and free the remaining hostages from Gaza. He said that we will end the war when we have accomplished all our goals. These include the overthrow of the rogue regime of Hamas, the return of all hostages, neutralizing any threat to Israel from Gaza, and the safe return of our residents in the south and north to their homes. Netanyahu said this at a condolence meeting on the first anniversary of the attack.
