While inaugurating the Quad Summit held in Wilmington Delaware, USA, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a befitting reply to China.
He said the Quad is meant to last and be accepted for a long time.
It is not against anyone. The Prime Minister said that it is a rules-based organisation for the international order and supports respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and resolution of all issues through peaceful means.
Quad wants peaceful resolution of conflicts
PM Modi gave a clear message to China that this organization wants a peaceful solution to the ongoing conflicts. He said, ‘Our meeting is taking place at a time when the world is surrounded by tensions.
In such a situation, it is important for humanity that the Quad moves together on the basis of shared democratic values. We are not against anyone.
We support rules-based international order, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and peaceful resolution of all issues.
A free, open, inclusive and prosperous Indo-Pacific is our shared commitment. Together we have taken many positive and inclusive initiatives in areas such as health, security, critical and emerging technology, capacity building, climate change. Our message is clear that the Quad is for cooperation. We will be happy to host the Quad Leaders Summit in India in 2025.
India was praised a lot
The Quad leaders praised Prime Minister Modi and India for India’s role in the Indian Ocean. Japanese Prime Minister Kishida expressed support for the organization of the Voice of Global South Summit.
