Washington. White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby has said that the US welcomes any country that wants to try to help end the conflict in Ukraine. India’s PM Narendra Modi recently visited Ukraine after a visit to Russia. After this, US President Joe Biden spoke to Modi over the phone. Kirby was asked if he thinks India can end the war.
On this question, Kirby said that any country that is ready to help end this war and does so keeping in mind the privileges of Ukrainian President Zelensky and the people, his plan for establishing a just peace, we will welcome its role. He said that we certainly expect this from India. During the phone conversation, Biden praised PM Modi for his historic visits to Poland and Ukraine, which was the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister in decades. He also appreciated his message of peace building and humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
