There was a heated argument in Parliament between RJD MP Manoj Jha and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
The RJD leader said during the debate that today there is no one from Kashmir in this House. On hearing this, Jha and Shah became very angry. The Home Minister interrupted him and said that we have always belonged to Kashmir and Kashmir is ours.
Shah said that you can say such things about yourself but don’t say such things about us. It is known that Amit Shah shared this video clip of the debate on his X handle which is going viral.
In fact, on Monday, the sixth day of the winter session, Manoj Jha was presenting his views on the Jammu and Kashmir issue in the Rajya Sabha. Meanwhile, he turned towards the Chairman and said, ‘Sir… today there is no one from Kashmir in this House.’
On hearing this, Home Minister Amit Shah, who was present there, got furious. He said that Manoj Jha has given a very bad statement that there is no one from Kashmir in the House.
Shah sarcastically said that this may be true for you but don’t say the same about us. We always belong to Kashmir.
Shah said- Every person’s Kashmir and every Kashmiri’s country
On the issue of there being no Kashmiri in the House, Amit Shah said, ‘He (Manoj Jha) can say this about himself but how can he say about us.
This may be true about you. You say that I am not from Kashmir, I am not for Kashmir.
Shah stressed, ‘In this country, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Dwarka to North-East, every person has Kashmir and every Kashmiri has a country. What are you talking about?’ The Home Minister said that the Supreme Court’s decision on the Centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370 is a big defeat for the opposition parties.
Those who say that Article 370 is permanent are insulting the Constitution and the Constituent Assembly. He said that Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) belongs to India and no one can take it from us.
