What is going on in Gaza is worrying but… Jaishankar spoke openly on Israel-Hamas war in UN…

The ongoing massacre between Israel and Hamas terrorists in Gaza is not stopping.

On one hand, Israel has vowed to destroy every particle of Hamas, while on the other hand, Hamas has not surrendered even after the killing of many of its commanders.

More than 28 thousand people have been killed in this war, including mostly innocent women and children. The whole world is saddened by the ongoing massacre in Gaza.

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also said on Tuesday that the conflict in Gaza is a matter of great concern and the humanitarian crisis arising from it requires a permanent solution.

However, he stressed that the condemnation of the terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7 last year is too much to be condemned. He said that ‘terrorism and taking innocent hostages’ is unacceptable.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar digitally participated in the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council held in Geneva.

“The humanitarian crises arising from conflicts require a sustainable solution that provides immediate relief to those most affected,” he said.

Jaishankar said, “At the same time, we must be clear that terrorism and hostage-taking are unacceptable. “It also goes without saying that international humanitarian law must always be respected.”

The External Affairs Minister also reiterated India’s long-standing position that there should be a two-state solution to the Palestine issue. “It is important that the conflict does not spread within or outside the region,” he said.

“Ceasefire efforts should also focus on finding a two-state solution where the Palestinian people can live within secure borders,” Jaishankar said.

It is noteworthy that the war between Israel and Hamas is not ending. Palestine Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh resigned from his post on Monday in view of the massacre and starvation in Gaza.

He remarked that this step has been taken in view of the plight of Gazans. On the other hand, after Shtayyeh’s resignation, Hamas has become active.

He is preparing to form a government with Fatah Party, for which a meeting is also to be held in Moscow next month.
