NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams are currently stranded in space. Due to a problem in the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, the plan for their return has been delayed.
It is being told that Sunita and Wilmore will now return in 2025. Meanwhile, a new problem has come to light in the Boeing Starliner spacecraft.
Butch Wilmore claims that he has heard strange sounds in this spacecraft. Michigan-based meteorologist Rob Dale has shared the conversation between Wilmore and Mission Control on X.
It is worth noting that due to problems in the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, it is being brought back without a crew. Currently, Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams are staying in the International Space Station.
Butch Wilmore mentioned this while talking to the mission control of Johnson Space Center in Houston, USA.
There is a sound of something moving at regular intervals. Butch Wilmore points his phone in the direction of the speaker so that Mission Control can hear the sound clearly.
If he does not hear clearly the first time, he tries again. This came to light at a time when the Boeing Starliner spacecraft is about to take off for its return flight after two days.
According to Mission Control, this is a sound as if a message is being sent. After initial investigation, it was found that this sound was coming from the speaker installed in the spacecraft.
Mission Control has assured Butch Wilmore that they will analyze the sound and inform him of whatever they find out. Boeing Starliner is scheduled to fly back by Friday. According to the plan, it is to land in the desert of New Mexico.
Let us tell you that Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore went on a space trip for a week. But due to helium leakage and thruster malfunction in the spacecraft, both of them are stuck there.
The return of both of them has now been delayed till February 2025. Then both will return to Earth in a SpaceX Dragon capsule. During their stay at the International Space Station, both astronauts are carrying out scientific research and maintenance tasks.
Sunita Williams, who has spent more than 400 days in space, has played an important role in various projects. Apart from this, she has also participated in various experiments on the International Space Station.
