Ramlala is ready to be installed in the new temple of Ayodhya.
Preparations are underway for the inauguration program to be held on January 22. Meanwhile, another question has started increasing curiosity that what will happen to the first idol after the new idol reaches the temple? It is being said that the already existing Ram idol will also be given a place in the temple.
However, nothing has been officially said by the temple trust regarding this.
In Aaj Tak’s report, quoting sources, it has been said that at present the second idol of Ramlala kept in the small temple can also be consecrated in the sanctum sanctorum along with the new idol.
It is also being said that the new one will be called Achal Marti. Whereas, the old one will be identified as Utsavamurthy. At present, work is going on regarding the inauguration program.
Road being decorated with ‘Sun Pillars’
Ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, a major road in the city is being decorated with sun-themed ‘Surya Stambhs’.
Each pillar, thirty feet high, has a decorative sphere that resembles the sun when lit at night.
A senior official of the Ayodhya division of Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) said that 40 such pillars will be installed on the ‘Dharma Path’ road, which connects Lata Mangeshkar Chowk near Naya Ghat to Ayodhya Bypass.
