The festival of Masik Shivratri is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Worship at night on Masik Shivratri has special importance.
By worshipping Lord Shiva on monthly Shivaratri, all the wishes are fulfilled and special blessings of Lord Shiva are received.
Monthly Shivratri is celebrated on Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha every month. Bhadrapada month is going on at this time. Monthly Shivratri of Bhadrapada month is today i.e. on 1st September, Sunday.

Monthly Shivaratri worship method…
On this holy day, wake up early in the morning, take a bath and then wear clean clothes.
Light a lamp in the temple at home.
Anoint the Shiv Linga with Ganga water, milk, etc.
Along with Lord Shiva, also worship Goddess Parvati.
Do worship Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is worshipped before any auspicious work.
Meditate on Bholenath as much as possible.
Chant the mantra Om Namah Shivaya.
Offer Bhog to Lord Shiva. Keep in mind that only Satvik things are offered to God.
Don’t forget to do the Aarti of God.
