Advani was the Home Minister at that time. He also raised questions about Osama Bin Laden. However Musharraf immediately said that Dawood and Osama were not in his country.
Osama was later killed in Abbottabad. And one of Musharraf’s officers exposed him.
A Pakistani official had said that Musharraf was telling white lies. Advani had told that that officer was also present in the meeting.
He remained silent in front of Musharraf but later told the truth. Advani had also said in his blog that Musharraf’s attitude seemed positive regarding the extradition treaty.
Advani had told Musharraf. If you want to make a big contribution to peace then hand over Dawood Ibrahim to India.
It is said that Dawood still lives in Karachi. He is most wanted in the 1993 serial blast case. Last year, America declared Dawood Ibrahim a global terrorist.
In 2022, the same question was also put before Mohsin Butt, the former Chief of Pakistan Federal Investigation Agency. However he maintained silence.
Later he kept shying away from the media also. Let us tell you that in 2003, UNSC had placed a reward of 25 million dollars on the head of Dawood Ibrahim.
