A five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court on Monday ordered the State Bank of India (SBI) to provide information about donations received through the electoral bond case to the Election Commission (ECI) by March 12.
SBI will have to give this information before the bank closes on Tuesday. The top court rejected the petition by SBI seeking time till June 30.
The apex court has ordered that the information be filed by Tuesday, March 12. Besides, the court has also ordered the Election Commission of India i.e. ECI to publish the details of electoral bonds on its website. The Supreme Court has given time till 5 pm on March 15 for this.

The bench said that the petition seeking time from SBI clearly indicates that the information which the Constitution Bench had directed to be disclosed in its February 15 decision is easily available with the bank, hence we Will not provide any relief on the issue.
