Amidst the ongoing massacre in Gaza, there has been a major attack on an Israeli army base. Israeli media has blamed Hamas’s Frogman Unit for this attack. This is not the first time that this unit of Hamas has entered and attacked Israel, this unit has done such a feat in the month of October also.
Israeli media reported on Thursday that Hamas’ special frogman unit managed to enter southern Israel on Wednesday and attack an IDF military base.
Although Hamas has not given official information about this operation of its unit, Israeli media, citing IDF sources, has confirmed that the attack had taken place.
News reports indicate that Hamas’ ‘frog unit’ entered Israel by sea, attacked a military base and fled to Gaza. During this period, incidents of firing also took place between this unit of the Israeli Army.
Israeli media have confirmed the incursion in the southern Ashkelon area. Reportedly, after the attack, Israeli forces fired on the suspects, after which they reportedly fled towards Gaza.
The Palestinian Chronicle claimed that Hamas’ ‘frog unit’ was behind the attempt. They also attacked an IDF base, but there has been no statement from the Al-Qassam Brigades in this matter.

Hamas’ Frogman Unit is their diving team. Which enters the enemy country via sea and suddenly attacks their intelligence and large areas.
This is not the first time that this special unit of Hamas has clashed with the Israeli army and carried out attacks through Zikim beach in southern Ashkelon. The last attack was carried out months earlier on October 24, 2023.

The IDF also fired on two divers and managed to drive them back.
