memories were shared
In his farewell address at the Bombay Bar Association on October 12, 2022, Justice Varale had said that I am lucky to be born in a family which has the blessings of BR Ambedkar. He said that his grandfather was taken by Ambedkar to Aurangabad (now Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar).
He was appointed as the superintendent of the college which Ambedkar had started there. Justice Prasanna had said during this time that if Ambedkar had not been there, his grandfather living in a remote area would never have been able to reach Aurangabad.
If this had not happened, then it would not have been possible that any person from his next generation would have ever entered the legal profession and sat on the chair of a High Court judge.
Justice Varale had also told that Ambedkar had advised his father Bhalchandra Varale to enter the legal profession. Bhalchandra Varale became a judicial officer in many courts and later became Registrar in the Bombay High Court.
