Intelligence agencies in India are in high alert mode these days. In a video, terrorist Farhatullah Ghori is talking about attacking trains across the country through sleeper cells in India.
Ghori is living in Pakistan after being declared a fugitive in India. He was the one who plotted the blast in Bengaluru’s Rameswaram cafe through a sleeper cell with the help of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
According to the report, terrorist Farhatullah Ghori has called for derailing the railway network in India with the help of sleeper cells.
In the video, he is seen talking about various methods of detonating bombs using pressure cookers. Let us tell you that for years he has been on the radar of Indian agencies.
In the video, he is talking about blowing up petrol and gas pipelines. Many Hindu leaders are also on his target. In the video, he is saying that the Government of India is weakening the sleeper cells by targeting their properties through the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). In the video, Ghori says, “But we will come back and shake the government.”
Sources in intelligence agencies have said that this video was released on Telegram about three weeks ago.
Let us tell you that at least 10 people were injured in the Rameswaram blast on March 1. The NIA, which took over the case on March 3, arrested two main accused Abdul Mathin Ahmed Taha and Musavir Hussain Shajib on April 12.
Taha was the mastermind of this blast. Shajib had placed the IED in the cafe. Both were arrested from a lodge near Kolkata. Both are members of the Islamic State (IS) module. Shariq, a member of this module, carried out the blast in Mangaluru in November 2022.
Farhatullah Ghori and his son-in-law Shahid Faisal have a strong network of sleeper cells in South India. Faisal was in touch with both the accused in the Rameswaram cafe blast and was the handler in the case.
Who is Farhatullah Ghori?
Farhatullah Ghori is also known as Abu Sufiyan, Sardar Saheb and Faroo. He has been linked to several high-profile attacks. He was also involved in the 2002 Akshardham temple attack in Gujarat. More than 30 people were killed and 80 injured in that attack. He was also behind the 2005 suicide attack on the task force office in Hyderabad.
After arresting three most-wanted terrorists from the national capital and Uttar Pradesh last year, the Delhi Police had said that Ghori was organising jihadi recruitment online.
Police revealed that Ghori was the handler of the terrorists. A few months ago, Delhi Police had taken Ghori’s name on record after several terrorists of the Pune-ISIS module were arrested from across the country.
Officials had claimed at the time that the ISI was running sleeper cells in India and recruiting youth to carry out attacks.
