The Congress party remains aggressive against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani.
On several occasions, Rahul Gandhi himself has accused the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of directly benefiting this company.
Meanwhile, agreements regarding investment have been signed between the Congress ruled state of Telangana and Adani Group. When veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister P. Chidambaram was asked a question regarding this, he became uncomfortable. He avoided this question.
Let us tell you that on Wednesday a press conference was organized regarding the Lok Sabha election manifesto of the Congress Party. P Chidambaram was asked a question related to the deal between Adani and Telangana government.
He avoided this question and shifted the mike towards Congress Party spokesperson Supriya Shrinet. When asked about the investment proposal, P Chidambaram quickly moved the mic towards Supriya Shrinet. Now the video of this incident is becoming increasingly viral.
Supriya Shrinet also refused to answer this question. He said, “I think this is a press conference for the manifesto. We should focus only on this topic. do not mind please. But launching the manifesto is a big thing.”
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi often accuses Prime Minister Narendra Modi of giving undue benefits to industrialist Gautam Adani. He calls Adani a ‘friend’ of Modi.
Many other opposition leaders also accuse the government of promoting crony capitalism.
Amidst all this, the Adani Group on Thursday signed four MoUs with the Revanth Reddy-led Telangana government for investment of over ₹12,400 crore. Reddy himself signed the deal with Adani. Adani Group will invest ₹5000 crore for the data centre, ₹5000 crore for two pup storage projects and ₹1400 crore for the cement plant.
BJP leader Khushboo Sundar has also targeted DMK on this issue. “The shameless DMK is no different. After chanting ‘Adani is Modi, Modi is Adani’, he has signed an agreement worth ₹ 42700 crore with Adani Group. Still they will not accept that Adani is the best in the business. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi will work with only the best to ensure the development of this country.”
