When Nawaz Sharif fell politically, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan emerged.

Today, when Imran Khan is declining politically, Nawaz Sharif is rising again. Six years later, with less than two weeks left for the general elections, the fortunes of another former PM seem to have changed.

Nawaz Sharif is the biggest example
This time the same is being said for Imran Khan that this is the beginning of the end of his political career, as was said for Nawaz Sharif in 2018, but till then no one’s political innings can be said to be over in Pakistan. Until his breathing stopped.

Nawaz Sharif is the biggest example of this. However, in his absence, his brother Shehbaz Sharif and daughter Maryam Sharif led the party, but Imran Khan has proved to be inferior in this matter.

More than 150 leaders have left
Ever since Imran Khan’s troubles started, more than 150 leaders have left him. With Imran Khan behind bars, top leaders like Shireen Mazari and Fawad Chaudhary also left PTI.

On May 9, 2023, when Khan was arrested outside the Islamabad High Court complex in a corruption case, PTI workers indulged in vandalism, violence and unrest in government buildings and military establishments across Pakistan.

After that, hundreds of PTI members were detained or jailed, since then the process of workers leaving the party has also continued.

Imran Khan surrounded by lawsuits and crises
At present, about 170 cases including corruption and privacy violation are registered against Imran Khan across Pakistan. There are also allegations of attack on a military institute.

It is clear from this that in the coming times he may be seen making rounds of the courts. On the other hand, the Election Commission has confiscated his election symbol ‘Balla’.

His party has now been allotted the ‘Bottle’ election symbol. Due to this his identity as an alcoholic is being tarnished. Khan’s party is not even able to do any major campaigning during the elections. Sometimes he is able to address people only through social media.
