Several Chinese diplomats visited the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh headquarters in Nagpur last month.
This visit is important because the RSS has been sharply critical of China and often advises the government to avoid its expansionist policy.
This is the first visit by Chinese diplomats to the office or establishment of a Hindu organization. There is also a Hedgewar Memorial Temple in the RSS headquarters itself, which is named after the first Sarsanghchalak Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
According to the report, an RSS official has also confirmed the visit of Chinese diplomats.
Diplomats from European countries have been meeting RSS officials, but this is the first time that diplomats from Communist-ruled China have visited.
These people had reached the RSS office in the first week of December. However, he could not meet Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat because he was away somewhere.
Most of these Chinese diplomats were of middle rank, who are posted in Delhi and Mumbai. The Chinese diplomats were welcomed by a senior official of the association and were taken around the campus.
These people also visited Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University located in Maharashtra itself. Some courses in Chinese language are also conducted from this institute.
However, his plan to go to the Sangh office was important. It is noteworthy that on the occasion of Vijayadashami in 2020, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat had mentioned about the clash in Galwan.
He had said that India needs to increase its strength on the border to deal with China. However, he has also praised the efforts of the Indian Government many times. It is being told that this visit of Chinese diplomats was normal and they understood the working of the association and visited the campus.
