Iran’s military forces have again entered Pakistan and carried out surgical airstrike. Crossing the border, Iranian military forces have killed the commander of terrorist group Jaish-al-Adl, Ismail Shah Baksh and some of his associates.
News channel Iran International confirmed this on Saturday morning quoting Iranian government media. Let us tell you that even a month ago, Iranian military forces had entered the Pakistani border and destroyed terrorist hideouts in the areas adjacent to the international border.
This development has come to light when relations between Iran and Pakistan are going through a tense phase. Last month also on January 17, Iran had carried out an airstrike in Panjgur in south-western Balochistan of Pakistan.
After that, Pakistan also struck the bases of Baloch rebels in the border area of Iran.
What is Jaish al-Adl?
According to the report of Al Arabiya News, the leader of the terrorist organization whose leader Iranian security forces claimed to have killed in an airstrike, Jaish al-Adl was established in 2012.
Iran has recognized the group as a “terrorist” entity. It is a Sunni extremist organization active mainly in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan.
Jaish al-Adl has carried out several attacks on Iranian security forces over the past few years. In December last year, Jaish al-Adl claimed responsibility for an attack on a police station in Sistan-Baluchestan, which left at least 11 police personnel dead.
