It is noteworthy that Madheshwar mountain is situated in Kunkuri block of Jashpur district which is worshiped as the world’s largest Shivling.

The shape of Madheshwar mountain, located in Mayali village, 35 kilometers away from the tribal dominated Jashpur district headquarters of Chhattisgarh, is like Shivalinga.

The villagers worship it and it has the distinction of being the largest Shivalinga in the world. Here tourists come from far and wide and connect themselves with nature.

Mountaineering is also done on Madheshwar mountain. There is immense potential for the development of adventure sports and tourism in Jashpur district.

On October 22, a meeting of Surguja Area Tribal Development Authority was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister at Mayali Nature Camp.

In which along with the ministers, members of Surguja Authority also participated. Mayali Nature Camp is being developed as a tourist destination.

Nestled in the lap of nature, Jashpur is easily attracting people due to its charming beauty.
