Why is this village in Andhra Pradesh celebrating Donald Trump’s victory? There is a special connection with the relationship with the wife…

The election victory of the Republican Party is being celebrated in America.

But even in India, people of a small village are celebrating their descendant becoming their “second lady”.

Usha Vance, a highly educated and successful lawyer of Indian origin, is Donald Trump’s fellow candidate in the US elections, J.D. Vance’s wife.

With Usha, people in her native village Vadaluru are hopeful that their village will also benefit from her success.

Usha Vance, 38, was born and brought up in San Diego, California. Usha, the daughter of Indian immigrants, grew up in a San Diego suburb.

His parents’ ancestral village is Vadaluru in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Usha, who was a bright student in studies and loved books, later showed leadership qualities.

The people of the village prayed in view of their historical ties and are hopeful that Usha Vance will prove to be helpful in giving something back to her ancestral place. Srinivas Raju (53 years), a resident of the village, said, “We are happy and support Trump.”

Family members said that Usha’s family is originally from a village called Vadaluru in Andhra Pradesh, but when her grandfather Ramashastri Chilukuri went to teach there when IIT was established in 1959, they settled in Chennai.

His parents moved to the US in the late 1970s and now teach engineering and molecular biology in San Diego.

Village priest Appaji prayed for Trump’s victory and said he hoped Usha Vance would do something good for the village. “If he can do something for our village while recognizing his roots, it would be a great thing,” he said.

Usha Vance’s great grandfather had stepped out from Vadaluru village. Usha’s father Chilukuri Radhakrishnan received his education in Chennai and then went to America and completed his studies. Village elder Venkata Ramanayya (70 years old) said, “Every Indian is proud that Usha is of Indian origin.

We hope that she will develop our village.” Although Usha never visited the village, the priest says that her father had visited about three years ago and inquired about the condition of the temple. “We have seen Trump’s rule – it was very good,” Ramanaya said. India-US relations remained very good during Trump’s time.”

Not much is known about the early travels of Usha Vance’s father Radhakrishnan to America, but her husband J.D. The film, based on Vance’s memoir ‘Hillbilly Elegy’, states that he came to America “with nothing.”

Usha was standing with Ohio senator J.D. Vance (39) when Trump addressed supporters after his victory in the presidential election.

Vance told the Megan Kelly Show podcast in 2020, “If I get a little too cocky or a little too cocky, I remind myself that she (Usha) is more accomplished than I am. “People don’t realize how talented she is.”

Usha and Vance met while studying at Yale Law School and later got married in Kentucky in 2014. Vance has three children: sons Evan and Vivek, and a daughter named Mirabelle.

After Trump selected Vance as his Vice Presidential candidate, Usha’s Hindu roots soon became a topic of discussion. Vance has said on several occasions that his wife is not a Christian, but that she has been “very helpful” in deepening his faith.

Asked about the challenges of an interfaith marriage, Usha said, “I think there are a lot of things we agree on, especially when it comes to family life, how to raise our children. So I think the answer is really that we just talk a lot.”

The New York Post cited a joint interview with Usha and her husband in June, in which she said she was “not interested in being in the spotlight” but added that the couple was “looking forward to seeing Ready for whatever happens in their lives.

“I want to be the first one to congratulate, now, I want to congratulate Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, and his wife,” Trump said, referring to the Usha-Vance meeting in Palm Beach, Florida, referring to the election results. I can congratulate Usha Vance.

The number of Indians living in America has also increased rapidly and they have now emerged as the second largest Asian community.

At the same time, in Tulasendrapuram, Kamala Harris’s grandfather’s village, about 730 kilometers south-west, her name is inspiring girls to study.

The resident T.S. Ambarasu (63 years old) said, “Kamala Harris’s success has inspired the girls of our village to continue their education.”
