Washington. The world is yet to fully recover from the corona pandemic and another deadly disease has attacked in the form of an epidemic. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a health emergency regarding monkeypox for the second consecutive year in two years. This declaration was made after the terrible infection of the epidemic in the African country Congo. The effect of monkeypox is 160 percent more this time than last year and it has started from Congo and has knocked in 13 other countries as well. So far this year, more than 517 people have died from monkeypox.
Monkeypox is an infectious disease that usually spreads through close contact with an infected person. It causes flu-like symptoms such as fever, vomiting, etc. But the symptom that sets it apart is the formation of boils and pus on the body. A person suffering from this disease develops boils all over the body. Then pus starts coming out of them. It is extremely painful. The monkeypox outbreak in Congo began with the spread of an endemic strain known as Clade I. But this time a new variant, Clade Ib, is wreaking havoc. One of the major reasons for the spread of this disease is having sexual relations with an infectious person.
