Will do anything to compete with India! Difficult to survive, but Pakistan will help Maldives…

Pakistan, which is on the verge of bankruptcy, has now started providing financial help to Maldives.

Pakistan, which is going through a huge economic crisis, has tried to heal the wounds of Maldives. After the Maldives dispute, India has cut the financial assistance allocated to Maldives.

While presenting the interim budget, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that India will now provide financial assistance of Rs 600 crore to Maldives.

After this announcement, Pakistan has assured financial help to Maldives.

It is worth thinking that the neighboring country Pakistan, which has extended its hands in front of IMF, China, UAE and Saudi Arabia, is it even capable of helping Maldives now? How can he help others if his own house is not running? But Pakistan is ready to do anything to counter India. Pakistan says that it stands with Maldives and will also help in the development of Maldives.

When did Pakistan support Maldives?
Pakistan has also supported all steps taken by Maldives to address climate change in the Indian Ocean region.

A statement from the Maldives President’s Office also makes the same claim. Bilateral relations between Maldives and Pakistan were established on 26 July 1966.

Both countries are currently considered close to China. China helps Pakistan and Maldives with money. Maldives’ recently elected President Mohammed Muizzoo is pro-China.

After coming to power he also traveled to China. As soon as he became President, Muizzu asked India to withdraw its army from Maldivian soil.

India cut its allocation
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the interim budget 2024-25 on Thursday. The amount of aid given by India to Maldives is being cut in the budget this year.

The allocation for Maldives has been reduced by 22 percent compared to the previous year.

India allocated Rs 770.90 crore for Maldives in the budget 2023-24. In the interim budget of 2024-25, this amount has been increased to Rs 600 crore.
