According to Arab News, the provincial cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to borrow $30 million from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) to rebuild infrastructure in Malakand Division.

Pakistan has already received help from Saudi
The Swat region of Pakistan has been devastated in recent years by insurgency and conflict as well as the devastating effects of natural disasters such as floods.

Due to which there has been a lot of damage to the infrastructure and economy here, as well as the daily life of the residents has also been affected. In such a situation, Pakistan wants to correct it again.

Let us tell you that in the past also SFD has provided financial assistance to Pakistan and funded development projects in different parts of the country.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is suffering from rain
In the last 24 hours, 10 people, including five children, died after some houses collapsed due to torrential rains and hailstorm in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Heavy rain and hailstorm lashed large parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the second consecutive day on Saturday. Five people, including three children, were buried under the debris after a house collapsed due to rain in Bajaur tribal district.

Two children died after the roof of their room collapsed due to torrential rains in Shangla district, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said.

The rains also damaged crops in Khyber Tribal District, Peshawar, Nowshera and Charsadda districts. The district administration initiated immediate relief measures in the rain-affected areas to provide assistance to the affected families.

Earlier this month, at least 37 people were killed in rain-related incidents across Pakistan, officials said.
