On the occasion of World Elephant Day on August 12, a national level World Elephant Day program focused on the conservation and promotion of elephants will be organized in the capital Raipur.
This program will be organized under the joint auspices of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and Department of Forest and Climate Change, Government of Chhattisgarh.
Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav will be the chief guest of the World Elephant Day program.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will participate in the program as special honored guest and Forest and Climate Change Minister Kedar Kashyap will participate as special guest.
Also, senior officials of forest department from various states will be present in the program.
