China seems a bit nervous about French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to India.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has now started praising China-France relations. He has offered to ‘break new ground’ in this regard.

In fact, Macron reached New Delhi as the chief guest on India’s 75th Republic Day at a time when China and France are celebrating the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

President Jinping said in his message, ‘Today again the world stands at a critical juncture. In such a situation, China and France should together pave the way for peace, security, brotherhood and progress. This is necessary for human development.

Xi Jinping said that China emphasizes on strengthening bilateral relations. He said that he is ready to work together with Macron.

He sees the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to uphold fundamental principles, break new ground and open new paths.

The strategic partnership between China and France needs to be further strengthened. Foreign Minister Wang Yi also made a statement on this occasion. He said, ‘China has offered to increase its imports from France.

We will continue to meet the demands of the consumer and investment markets. Import of high quality products and services from France will be promoted.

Many important agreements signed between India and France
Keep in mind that the Chinese high command is talking about strengthening relations with France at a time when Macron has signed many important agreements with India.

There was a long conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Macron during his visit to New Delhi. After this, both the countries released an ambitious industrial roadmap by sharing military equipment. Tata Group and Airbus agreed to jointly manufacture the H125 helicopter.

The key decisions also include a plan to send professionals in the age group of 18 to 35 years to each other’s countries and a Schengen visa with a validity of 5 years for graduate Indian students.

Both sides signed several important agreements. These also include defence-space partnership and satellite launches. In addition, a separate agreement was signed on enhancing cooperation in the healthcare sector.
