In France, a court trial has begun against a brutal husband who drugged his wife for nearly a decade and got her raped by more than 50 people.
On Tuesday, he confessed all the charges against him in the court and said that yes, he is a rapist. He also begged for mercy for himself.
This case had shocked the whole country. In this heartbreaking incident, the victim had revealed that it was difficult for her to believe that the person with whom she had been living for so many years was cheating on her in this way.
The woman alleges that during this entire incident her husband did not even let her have a clue about it.
The name of the accused who drugged his wife for 10 years and got her raped by several people in an unconscious state is Dominic Policott.
He is 71 years old. The trial will continue till December. If he is found guilty in court, he will be sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison.
According to court documents, this shocking case came to light in 2020 when police caught Pellicot making intimate videos of women in a supermarket.
After this, the police searched Pellicot’s house and electronic devices. In which thousands of photos and videos of men engaged in sexual relations with his wife Gisele Pellicot were recovered.

On the other hand, the victim Gisele Pellicot, who has become a symbol of the fight against sexual violence in Southern France, has agreed to reveal her identity in the case and has given permission for the trial to be heard in open court.
She can record her statement in the court after her ex-husband’s testimony. 69-year-old Bernadette Tesnier, who came to the court to watch the trial, said, “How is it possible in 50 years of married life to live with a person who hides his life so well? This is frightening.”
Police identified 72 suspects
Pellicot’s lawyers said their client’s testimony was delayed for several days because she fell ill. According to the document, when police arrived at Pellicot’s home, Gisele was found unconscious in her bed.
During the investigation, the police managed to trace most of the 72 suspects. Gisele and Pellicot have three children. After retirement, the couple moved from Paris to the small town of Mazan in Provence.
The rapists are between 26 and 74 years old
According to legal documents, when police officers called Gisele in for questioning, she initially said her husband was a “good man.”
He showed some pictures to Gisele, after which she left her husband and now they are divorced. Apart from Dominic, 50 other men aged between 26 and 74 are facing trial.
Several of them denied raping Gisele, claiming that Pellicot had lied to them, and that they had believed Gisele had consented to have sex.
