You don’t have to panic; Imran Khan claimed victory in AI video, called Nawaz Sharif a fool…

Jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan sent a video message with the help of AI, claiming victory in the general elections and terming his arch rival Nawaz Sharif as a fool.

Khan’s message was shared by his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on social media platform ‘X’.

In a video message, Khan congratulated his supporters on the election results and said that he has confidence in them. It has been claimed in the video that PTI is winning the elections by winning 170 seats.

Khan, in a video released after the elections in Pakistan, said that he had strong faith that people would come out to vote and praised his supporters for reposing their faith by voting in large numbers.

“By voting in such large numbers and exercising your democratic right to vote, you have laid the foundation for restoring the freedom to exercise civil rights,” Khan said.

This is not the first time Khan’s party has used AI technology to reach out to its supporters. It had also used AI during the campaign to convey Khan’s message to the people.

“According to Form 45, we are now winning 170 seats,” Khan said, referring to the forms showing results from polling stations. He criticized former Prime Minister Sharif for giving a victory speech “despite being 30 seats short” of PTI.

Cricketer-turned-politician Khan can be heard saying in the video, “Nawaz Sharif is a fool who gave a victory speech despite his party trailing by 30 seats.”

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif had announced on Friday evening that he was starting discussions to form a coalition government.

Khan said, “Despite two years of heavy oppression and injustice, we have won the 2024 elections with full strength.”

Voting is held on 266 out of 336 National Assembly seats, but in Bajaur, voting on one seat was postponed after a candidate was killed in an attack.

Another 60 seats are reserved for women and 10 for minorities and are allotted to the winning parties on the basis of proportional representation.

To form a new government, any party will have to win 133 seats out of 265. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, counting of votes on 250 seats of the National Assembly has been completed and independent candidates have won maximum 99 seats. Most of these candidates are supported by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party ‘Tehreek-e-Insaf’ (PTI).

Meanwhile, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday granted bail to Imran Khan in 12 cases related to the May 9 attacks on military installations in the country.

According to ‘The Express Tribune Pakistan’, ATC Judge Malik Ijaz Asif granted bail to Khan in 12 cases including attacks on ‘General Headquarters’ (Pakistan Army) and Army Museum and asked him to furnish a surety amount of Rs 1 lakh. The court said there was no justification for keeping 71-year-old Khan in jail as all the other accused in the May 9 case are out on bail.

Despite this order of the court, Khan will remain in jail as he has been convicted in several other cases.
