Meanwhile, the space agency has come up with an interesting job. In this, one will have to live on Earth in an environment like Mars for one year. Which includes everything from spacewalk to farming.
NASA is also going to pay huge salaries to people for this work.
America’s space agency NASA is looking for four people to spend a year on Mars. The agency says that for this, a special place has been created on Earth, where an environment like Mars can be created. It has been named Mars Dune Alpha.
Those selected by NASA will live in a 1,700-square-foot residence and meet the challenges of the Mars mission.
NASA will continuously monitor these people throughout the year-long mission, which will include “resource limitations, equipment failure, communication delays and other environmental stresses”.
In this, people will also have to do spacewalk, robot operation, habitat maintenance, exercise and farming work. Those selected for this remarkable work will also receive a hefty salary for their time. However, NASA has not yet disclosed the salary.
What are the qualifications for this job?
Mission managers focus on their right candidates. NASA has mandated that a university degree in engineering, mathematics or biological, physical or computer science is mandatory for the person applying for this job.
Apart from this, the pilot should have at least 1000 hours of experience. The applicant must be healthy and does not smoke. His age should be between 30 years to 55 years and he should be a permanent resident of America.
“Applicants must send their applications before April 2,” the agency said. The selected people will first undergo training and then they will leave for the campaign in the month of August this year.
