Pyongyang. In North Korea, 1.4 million youth have applied to join the army or return to the army in a week. This happened when North Korea accused South Korea of drone intrusion. After this, tension increased between the two countries and the situation became war-like.
According to state media, millions of students, youth league activists and youths signed a petition to join the army. These people have sworn to fight to eliminate the enemy. Some pictures have been shared in the media report, in which a crowd of youth are signing petitions at an unknown place.
The dictator’s government claims that millions of youth are voluntarily applying to join the Korean People’s Army. This is when tension on the Korean Peninsula is at its peak. North Korea has been making such claims about its military in the past also.
Last year it was claimed that eight lakh of its youth had joined the voluntary army to fight against America. In 2017 also, 35 lakh youth were said to have joined the army. However, North Korea’s claims have never been independently confirmed.
